Blues Straight Up - Blues Band often described as a blues ensemble with a big sound and dubbed as "The Finest Chicano Blues Band on the Planet". The band is North-East Los Angeles based (El Sereno, CA.) We embrace diverse interpretations of the Blues and Rhythm & Blues - originals, standards, electric blues, some sassy female attitude and add a touch of “Blues in Español”.
R&B Blues - We Love what we do
Some influences and inspirations: James Cotton, Sonny Boy Williamson, Jimmy Reed, BB King, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Aretha Franklin, Big Mama Thornton, Eric Clapton, Slim Harpo, Johnny Otis, Bobby Blue Bland, William Clarke, Randy Garibay and Old School R&B. Honestly, too many to mention!!
